Bike Park

Bike Park

Disco Bike Park is a downhill rider’s dream designed for all levels with lift-served access featuring flow-style trails. The park is located on the backside of Discovery and drops riders approximately 1,050 vertical feet. You can choose to keep your rubber grounded or attack the built in features including wall rides, bridges, jumps, logs and drops. The park is professionally maintained to smooth out jarring ruts and wash-boarding for a true pro-style experience. Inexperienced riders will have an opportunity every Saturday and Sunday to learn new downhill skills during a 1 hour lesson starting at 11am or 1pm.

For those looking for a warm-up, there will be a hill climb for riders to access the park with hair-raising descents and plenty of single track. Riders looking just to do a lap, have the option of booking a Single Use Ticket good for a single ride on the day of their choosing. We also offer a Scenic Lift Ticket good for one ride up and down the lift for anyone who not wanting to bike that day.

Tickets/Lessons/Rentals must be purchased online. Purchases can be made online anytime, including day of. There will be no option to make any in person purchases. Please keep in mind that our bike park is limited to 100 riders/tickets per day.

Discovery MTB Code

RULES AND SAFETY

Discovery Bike Park is not intended or maintained for novice and beginning riders. It contains pro-level features and terrain appropriate only for riders at an intermediate, advanced or pro level. Before riding always inspect your equipment or have it checked by a qualified bike mechanic.

  1. Ensure your helmet is in good shape and properly adjusted.
  2. Inspect bike frame for cracks and damaged or dented areas.
  3. Ensure your brakes are adjusted properly to stop your bike while descending.
  4. Front and rear axles should be tight.
  5. Headset and stem must be secure with no looseness or play.
  6. Check that your tires are in good condition, with no tears or cuts in the sidewall.
  7. Handle bar and handle grips must be tight and unable to spin. Seat and seat post need to be fastened securely.
  8. Review trail maps accurately depicting mountain bike trails and appropriate levels of difficulty.
  9. Note and respect on-mountain trail signage and difficulty ratings.
  10. Sample ‘difficulty’ features at tops of runs. The most difficult feature or technical skill that a rider will face on a trail should be at the top so that it acts as a “filter” to discourage those who may not have the skill to ride that particular area.

MOUNTAIN BIKERS RESPONSIBILITY CODE

  1. Plan and dress appropriately for the weather.  The lift may be shut down in the event of proximate lightning strikes and refunds will not be given for weather related closures.

  3. Do not stop where you obstruct a trail or are not visible from above.
  4. When entering a trail or starting downhill, you must look uphill and yield to other riders.
  5. Please assist if you are involved in or witness a collision or accident and identify yourself to the Bike Patrol.
  6. Keep off closed areas and obey all signs and warnings.
  7. Stay on marked trails. Do not cut switchbacks.
  8. Stay off lifts and out of the Bike Park if your ability is impaired through the use of drugs or alcohol.

  10. Hiking in the Bike Park is not permitted.
  11. Do not feed, provoke or approach wildlife.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’m new to mountain biking, can I handle this?

Disco Bike Park is a flow style course with optional features like walls, bridges, jumps and drops, but the rider can always choose to keep their tires on the ground. We are a perfect park to elevate your downhill skills if you are lacking experience. If you are new to mountain biking completely than it would be better to amp up the saddle time on cross-country style trails first.

What if I don’t own a full suspension MTB or helmet?

No worries, we offer a fleet of rental bikes featuring acclaimed Transition Patrol in frame sizes Medium thru X-Large; We also rent full-face helmets. Rentals must be booked online, there is no option to reserve in person.

What equipment do I need to bring?

We recommend a full-suspension bike with disc breaks. You must wear closed toe shoes, and MTB style helmet; full face isn’t required but recommended. Gloves, pads, guards are optional.

Can I get a lesson?

You can book an instructor on Saturdays for 1hr increments starting at 11am or 1pm. The cost is $30/ time slot, you are able to be alone in the lesson or have the instructor for a small group of same ability riders.

Absolutely not, if you would rather grind up the mountain before you descend you can access all the trails for just $10. You can also purchase a single ride for only $20 if you’re just not sure that downhill is your thing.

Are kids allowed to ride at Disco Bike Park?

For sure! Kids ages 7 and up are encouraged to check us out and start feeling connected with their bike. Helmets as always are required. We have also recently added a pump course near our park base area that is ideal for the little kiddos learning to ride, Strider and pedal-free friendly!

Yes! We are pretty rustic, please provide your own snacks and water. We do have a porta-potty though😉
