WEBCAMS

Our webcam shots are updated every 30 minutes to show the current weather conditions. The pictures are taken from the deck of Ski Patrol building, front of the base lodge, top of the Anaconda Chairlift, and top of the Rumsey Chairlift.

Our Facilities

Your Home Base

Stow away your gear, pull up a stool and order a local brew. Or for the young ones, one of our famous chocolate chip cookies. From food to gear to lockers, we have everything you might need right here at the base of the mountain.

A couple cold ones at the Tap ‘Er Lite Bar.

DISCOVERY DAY LODGE

Part rec room, part expedition staging area, the ground floor of our day lodge has lockers, tables, long benches and big double doors that open straight out onto the base of the mountain. By 9 a.m. it’s bee-hive busy, and one very good time.

THE TAP’ER LITE BAR

Nothing builds a thirst quite like a day of carving the slopes. Hence, the Tap ‘er Lite. It’s a great place to pull up a stool and swap yard sale stories over a fresh Montana microbrew or while sipping an Irish coffee to ward off the chill.

DISCOVERY CAFE AND RESTAURANT

Bright and airy, our café serves up mountain views and a lively atmosphere. There’s really no better place to connect with friends for lunch or a last run cookie. Just off the café, there’s also a nice deck for grilling and gathering. It’s as fun as it is filling.

Fresh from the oven.

To us, the perfect end to a day of skiing is to walk into grandma’s kitchen, rich with the aroma of fresh baked cookies and a hearty beef stew. So that’s how we approach food at Discovery. The homemade soups are made entirely from scratch right on the premises. Our daily entrée specials always prove to be satisfying and delicious. Plus, we have a full plate of sandwiches, burgers, fries and beverages. All at family-friendly prices. But more than anything, what separates us from most ski area fare is our bakery. Everything—bread bowls, cinnamon rolls, cakes, and pies—are baked fresh daily. And Discovery’s signature chocolate chip cookies are baked hourly, tempting you into the lodge on the best of powder days.

NOEL SHOP

Forget your goggles? Lose a glove off the lift? No worries. Our on-mountain shop maybe small, but it’s brimming with the clothing and gear you’re most likely to need. Plus, we have a full complement of Discovery-wear. Perfect for showing your Discovery pride. Check it out, right next to the ticket office.

RENTAL SHOP

Also located off the Day Lodge, this area is aptly named. Stop in here to pick up your  rentals or get a quick wax before or after you go skiing.

SNOW SPORTS SCHOOL

Whether you’re brand new to snow sports, or an experienced rider our snow sports school has something for you. We offer group lessons for students starting as young as 3 and up. Check out our lessons page for specific information and availability.
