To our valued Guests and Employees,
We regret to inform you that we will be closed for the season beginning March 22nd. After discussions today with our county government officials we decided that remaining open was no longer in the best interest of our community and we voluntarily made the decision to end our ski season. The Granite County Health Dept. have been practical and supportive partners and we have worked together to develop solutions to continue operating. We want to thank them for that support and for the hard work they are doing to help our residents stay healthy and safe during the pandemic.
Additionally we greatly appreciate the help of our wonderful staff over what has been a difficult season. We have some of the most intelligent, dedicated and thoughtful staff in the ski industry and Discovery Ski Area is the product of those employees’ work. Thank you for all of the difficult days you have put in this season and there will undoubtedly be better ones in the future.
We believe that although there will be some tough times ahead, our communities come out of this stronger and that a bright future lies ahead. We are already looking forward to seeing the first flakes and the subsequent smiling faces.
Take care of each other,
Discovery Ski Area
